What are the Vastu Guidelines which are used for Doors?

Vastu for a door is almost entirely determined by its location on this Mandala and the corresponding deity. Different Padas produce different results when the door or entrance to the house is opened.

Vastu primarily provides 36 options for building doors or entrances to the house. There are nine on each side. As we saw in the Vastu Mandala post, these are also known as Padas.

Some of these 36 entrances are good, some are neutral, and the majority are bad. As a result, it is critical to select the proper Padas for the door in order to bring prosperity and health to the inmates of the house. Based on Vastu principles found in ancient scriptures, we have listed the Vastu guidelines for doors that you should strictly adhere to.

The third and fourth Padas in the East, which belong to Jayantha and Mahendra, are the most auspicious places to build the house's entrance.

The Sun's 5th Pada on the East can also be used to build doors for the house entrance.

Doors in the four Padas in the extreme south-east corners should be avoided. If doors are built here, the inmates may suffer from chronic diseases and pain.

South West is the worst direction to build a house or other structure's entrance. This may result in misery, diseases, financial difficulties, and death. This is a corner that should be avoided at all costs when building a house entrance.

The 4th Pada in the South is the only location in the South that is auspicious for the construction of doors. Doors built in other Padas in the South may cause physical, mental, and financial grief.

Four Padas in the west direction are deemed unsuitable for door construction.

Two Padas in the extreme northwestern corner will neither bring you good fortune nor harm you in any way. The door built here will produce neutral results. According to some Vastu experts, this is a bad corner for doors.

Kubera is linked to the 5th Pada in the north. As a result, a door built here will bring enormous wealth and prosperity.

If the space in the 5th Pada in the North is not available, consider the 6th or 7th Pada in the North for doors.

The Main Door and the Gate Vastu Arrangements

Vastu mentions four types of entries based on the relative positions of the gate and the main door.

This is based on the placement of gates and doors rather than the directions. When building a house entrance in the form of gates and doors, you should consider both directions and positions.

1.Utsanga Submission:

This is a type of entry in which the compound's main gate and the main door to the house are both facing the same direction. This is a fortunate circumstance. This arrangement will bring you good fortune and prosperity. Your family tree will also grow and prosper to unimaginable proportions.

2.Purnabahu Entry:

If you enter from the main gate towards the house and the main door is on the right hand side, that is the Purnabahu entry. This type of entry results in happiness, wealth, and progeny growth.

3.Heenbahu Entry:

Once you enter through the main gate, the main door is on the left hand side. According to Vastu, this is not a good position. This type of entry will result in financial losses, a loss of friends, and diseases.

4.Pratyakshaya Entry:

When the main gate and main door are in completely opposite directions, this is referred to as a Pratyakshaya entry. This is a very unfavourable situation. It can result in grief, poverty, and the loss of friends.

Pratayakshaya:

Time is auspicious for construction and installation of doors according to Vastu guidelines based on Rahu's position.

Rahu is one of the nine planets considered when performing Horoscopic calculations. Vastu has provided some basic guidelines for installing a door based on the position of Rahu on a given day. The door should be installed in such a way that Rahu is not present in that particular direction on the day the door is being installed.

According to Hindu Calendar Month:

The Vastu Purusha's face rotates in different directions throughout the Indian calendar year. It is always auspicious to build the door in the same direction as Vastu Purusha's face for auspicious results.

Below are the directions of face of Vastu Purusha in different months.

Bhadrapada,Ashwija,Kartika – East

Margashira,Pushya,Maagha – South

Phalguna,Chaitra,Vaishakha – West

Jyeshtha, Ashaadha,Shravana -North

Door Construction According to Constellations

The door should be built in the East, in the constellations of Krittika, Mrigshira, Adra, Punarvasu, Pushya, and Ashlesha. When the Moon is in Magha, Purva Falguni, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Chitra, Swati, or Vishakha, a South facing door (on the 4th Pada) can be built. When the Moon is in Anuradha, Jyeshtha, Moola, Purva Ashadha, Uttarashadha, Abhijitha, or Shravana, a door in the West can be built. When the Moon is in Ghanishtha, Shatbisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttar Bhadrapada, Revati, Ashwini, or Bharani, a North facing door can be built.
