WHAT IS ASTROLOGY?

 Mankind’s oldest science began at a time when a man would look to the stars and ponder his fate in a cold and lonely world.


Those who pursued this study were called ASTROLOGERS!


Astrology is the grandfather of Astronomy – and the study of the movement in the skies has been of interest to man since time began.

Throughout history, we have known that….

“As above, so below”.


Just what IS Astrology?

Astrology is, ‘the study of the movements of the planets on their regular, orbital paths around the sun.’


The circular area around the sun is divided into 12, 30-degree sections of ‘time and area in space.’ Each section or ‘House,’ runs from 0 degrees, 59 minutes, 59 seconds of sidereal time to 29 degrees, 59 minutes, 59 seconds of time, before turning over into the next sign/section. 0 is considered a degree and so is 29, making 30 of them.


Each ‘section,’ of the solar system or ‘house,’ is then cordoned off and named after the constellation that appears above it. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, and so on, are just ‘names,’ for that section of space. 

Rather than saying: “Where is Mars?” And having the answer be: “Mars is in the Southern Hemisphere, in the Second Quadrant, in the 11th house at 6 degrees, 52 minutes, 17 seconds,” isn’t just easier to say, “Mars is in Aquarius!”


As the plants go AROUND the sun, they pass through the various sections or ‘houses,’ of the solar system and are known for releasing repetitive energies and idiosyncrasies associated with being ‘in that sign.’


On their trip around, planets and other bodies, also make various angular relationships TO one another, known as ‘aspects,’ that are also known for creating or releasing certain, reliable AND predictable ‘ energies’ and ‘traits.’


It is the observation of those movements, positions, and aspects that makes up the study of Astrology.


OUR WORLD is shaped by cycles.

Day follows night,

Season Unfolds into Season,

The Moon rises in a 24-hour rhythm,

pulling with it the tides.


Animals respond, react and migrate to these cycles. Why do you think the swallows always come back to Capistrano on March 19th? Could the fact that THAT time is usually the first day of spring and is right on or near the Vernal Equinox have anything to do with it? You BET!


All of these familiar rhythms are plain to see, but have you also noticed the cycles which make your moods rise and fall, or that help business to succeed or fail? Did you know that profits on Wall Street (and in your own business) follow a cycle that can be charted?

Horary Astrology

Mundane Astrology

                      The Astrological study of non-human entities such as organizations, cities, states, governments and animals falls under the domain of ‘Mundane,’ Astrology.


                Using the date of a business's inception, a state or city’s charter, Astrologers can discern trends, strong points, and weaknesses, or compatibilities of the Natal Chars of individuals with those of their environmental surroundings, business, cities, or governments. This area of Astrological study has been widely used in Europe and Asia for centuries and is only now being used more frequently in politics and business here in the United States.


It IS the Astrology that Nancy and Ronald Reagan used so successfully throughout his presidency.


Natal Astrology

            The study of astrology as it pertains to human beings by using their birthdates to analyze health, personality, finance, and career.

            Natal astrology is probably the most common form practiced today. Charting the exact moment a person’s life begins allows the astrologer keen insights into basic trends.

Rectification Astrology

               Rectification Astrology is a specialty area of Astrology very few Astrologers are familiar with. It is used when ‘no known time of birth,’ exists.

                Rectification is the act of ascribing the correct rising sign and/or other placements when information is missing or inaccurate in a chart or date of birth.


Rita Ann’s most famous rectification work came when she was interviewed by the Green Bay Press-Gazette about the upcoming summit meetings in 1986 between then-president Reagan and Soviet leader, Gorbachev. The White House ‘official’ version of Reagan’s birth information was issued as, “ 2 AM, Feb 6, 1911, in Tampio, Ill.”


During the interview, Ms. Freeman expressed a serious doubt that she was looking at, “the true chart of Ronald Reagan.” When questioned by a reporter, Dave Tianen, as to WHY she thought it was NOT his ‘true chart,’ she replied, “ This is NOT the chart of Ronald Reagan. I see no evidence of his being an actor or in politics. I think the 2 AM time is a smokescreen. I don’t think he was born then but it’s a believable time.”
